This event is staged in conjunction with the Wells Half Ironman and will be partly held on New Plymouths world class coastal walkway. The start and finish for the event will be on a closed section of Ocean View Parade. The race is planned to start at 7.00am. The half marathon course consists of three 7km laps and there will be huge spectator support along the way on this 3 lap course.
Race Registration will be at the race headquarters marquee at Ngamotu beach between 1.00pm -6.00pm .
Race packs, which include your race number, timing transponder and sponsors product must be collected during the times above. The transponder issued with the pre-race registration pack must be securely attached to your shoelace.
Please note there will not be time to collect your registration packs on the Saturday morning.
6.45am at Ngamotu Beach. Please assemble behind the Start/Finish gantry prior to the start time for the event you are entered in.

Parking on the day of the event will be on the reserve area to the right of Bayley Road. Travel to the bottom of Bayley Road and turn right, parking is 200mtrs down Oceanview Parade on the right. No parking on the course route. We will have marshals assisting with parking at the bottom of Bayley Road. You will be directed down Ocean View Parade to park in a large grass council reserve area on the right down Ocean View Parad
Please make allowance for possible traffic congestion and queues by arriving at Ngamotu beach at least 1 hr before your pre-race briefing and start time.
Food, drink and tee shirts will be available to buy on the day.
The course is on the public walkway so please stick to the left and be courteous to other people along the way. There will Marshals along the way to assist you if required. There are aid stations at regular intervals where you can top up with water or Horleys replace. Please don’t litter.
Prize giving will take place on the grass area beside the start/finish gantry at 2.00pm. .There are cash prizes for top placegetters in each event. There are great spot prizes to be won. These will be randomly selected by computer independent of the race organisers. To be eligible for major spot prizes, you must have participated in the event and be present at prize giving. If your number is drawn ID is required to collect your prize.
