Mitchell Cycles New Plymouth

If you have never had a professional bike fit owner Blair Cox is the man to see. Blair is a qualified Specialized Master BG Fit Technician. Whatever level of cycling you are at, cycle groups leave from Mitchell Cycles at 5.30pm on Mondays and 2.30pm on Saturdays. Pop in and have a chat to one of the staff prior to your ride.

We asked local triathlon coach Graham Park to put together some training tips which may be helpful in your preparation for the big event.

If you are starting from scratch, start slowly in your training but do a little amount often. If you are unsure of your physical condition it may be a good idea to have a check up with your local GP before you start pushing too hard.

To finish a Half Ironman is a huge achievement. To finish a Half Ironman comfortably can only be achieved by having a program and sticking to it. If you haven’t  got a programme it may be wise to contact Graham www.tricoachnz.com or a local coach in your area, and get a program designed specifically for you.
